Hello Spring!

Oh, it is finally here! Last week was simply marvelous! We stayed outside as much as possible to enjoy this beautiful weather. I am always very excited when Spring arrives. It kind of wakes me up! The blossom trees, bright colors, sun, green grass... it all makes me so happy... I think older I become more I enjoy this period of the year... :-) Here are some photos of this week... 

Spring always inspires me to eat healthy food...

We made a one day trip to Venice. I love this town so much! The kids were happy as well. I was even surprised how well they behaved! I was really proud of them and could really enjoy this trip! :-)

First thing we did - we went to Museum of Natural History. Now we have to go there every time we are in Venice, because Alex wants to see the dinosaurs. :-)

 Then it was time for lunch. We are lucky that my husband knows Venice really well, so we can skip all crowds and enjoy peace and silence of these beautiful streets.

The birds were really happy about our lunch leftovers...

And then it was time for running. Alex is my little assistant and he really helped me with Sophie. He was taking care that she doesn't go close to the water, or enter in the shops... For him it was a game, but at the end they both were very happy about it... Sophie takes it much easier if Alex is stopping her, and not me... :-) Well, I am more and more confident that life with two children is much easier than with one child. You don't need to entertain them anymore, they do it by themselves and much better than we would do...

Venezia...

So, here we are! I had a pause from crocheting, designing and writing and instead had small holidays! First my mom and my brother joined us to celebrate my little boy's 4th birthday! I can't believe he is 4! But he is really 4 and lately is behaving as a really big and smart boy. It is a wonderful age! I can speak with him like with a man and it is so cute to discover everything he has in his mind and the way he thinks is so fascinating. Sometimes I do get tired of his "why?" and "what is it?" especially when I don't know how to explain something... but it is so cute! I begin to see things in other way too, I notice so many things I didn't notice before.

My little princess is doing great too! She learned to stay on her feet, she likes to dance, and she adores her big brother. When my boy is back from day care I can relax - she is very busy following him, trying to participate in his games (which he doesn't like that much, for now, I hope...).

We also had small family trip. We went to Venice, to Lido di Venezia where we found wonderful beach. We stayed in this charming hotel: www.hotelvillapannonia.it

Trip to Venice...

Yesterday we had a very nice trip to Venice. We live 2 hours drive from this wonderful town and in my opinion spring is the best time to visit it. I love Venice. I love its quietness (if you know right streets, and my husband knows - he lived in Venice for 5 years), without cars, surrounded with water... it brings such peace... Well, but yesterday we had quite little of peace as Alex had to explore everything. Almost whole day we saw only his back, like this...

It is good there are no cars and we could let him run, BUT there is water everywhere and we had to take care that he doesn't finish in it...

He was also choosing which church we should visit.

And when we got in every time I heard "wow"... :-) I think he is little art admirer...

At the end we were very tired and happy to come back home...

Hello to everybody!

I am just beginner in blogging, this is my first experience, but it seems so exciting...

My name is Vita. I was born in Latvia, Riga. Now I live in Italy, Trieste. I am married with french man, and we have amazing little boy - our son Alexandre! This blog will be about my life, my works - crochet and knitting projects, and about anything interesting I see around!

It is Spring time, I love it and it is just the right moment to begin something new!

First I wanted to tell you about place where I live. Trieste!

It is very close to the border with Austria and Slovenia. I would say that it is almost not Italy, it rather looks like Austrian town than Italian. We are surrounded by mountains and sea!

But we have one very big advantage! Trieste is quite close to Venice! I LOVE it! It is absolutely amazing place and we use any occasion to go there. Here are some pics I made last summer! Enjoy!
